HOG SLAT AND TDM FARMS CONTRIBUTES $10,000 TO CARROLL COUNTY COMMUNITY FOUNDATION

April 21, 2015 -- The Carroll County Community Foundation has received a $10,000 contribution from Hog Slat and TDM Farms.  The contribution will be doubled to $20,000 through Lilly Endowment’s Giving Indiana Funds for Tomorrow (GIFT) match initiative.

Through the match initiative, contributions to the Carroll County Community Foundation’s community endowment unrestricted funds will be matched $1 for $1. Lilly Endowment’s intent for the GIFT match is to encourage donors to participate and to help increase grantmaking capabilities that will help to improve the quality of life in Carroll County forever.

Carroll County qualifies for a match of up to $500,000, and the initiative runs through March 31, 2016. Gifts to the Foundation’s other types of funds will be matched $.50 for every $1 given. When the match is successfully met, $1 million ($500,000 from donors and $500,000 matched) will be put to work in the community.

“We are so excited to receive this gift from Hog Slat and TDM Farms,” said Al Jackson, Carroll County Community Foundation board member.  “This is just the boost we need towards our goal. This shows Hog Slat and TDM Farms’ commitment to the community. It gives recognition to the work of the Carroll County Community Foundation and opens the door for additional contributions from the community as we strive to meet our goal of $500,000.”
