CLINTON COUNTY COMMUNITY FOUNDATION AWARDS GRANTS
Nonprofit organizations awarded $131,633 in competitive grants in 2021
Dec. 30, 2021 -- The Clinton County Community Foundation has awarded $44,133 in competitive grants during the second half of 2021. Combined with the first half total of $87,500, this brings the total of competitive grants awarded to $131,633 for the year.
“Clinton County has a variety of nonprofit programs and services that need support,” said Alicia Albertson, chair of the Clinton County Community Foundation Services Committee. “These grants are awarded from our community endowment unrestricted funds that donors have contributed to with the intent to support needs that benefit the citizens of Clinton County now and in the future. We are grateful for our donors’ foresight and generosity that ensure continued support for the community.”
The following nonprofit agencies and programs were awarded grants from community endowment unrestricted funds:
$9,533 to the Clinton Co. Sheriff's Office provides funding to purchase a forensic device known as "GrayKey." This device and its software will allow the Sheriff's Office to conduct in-depth investigations of cloud-based evidence, specifically in child exploitation and domestic violence cases.
$4,500 to Food Finders Food Bank will support three additional mobile food pantries in Clinton County for January, February and March 2022.
$1,000 to Frankfort High School supports the implementation of a new Positive Behavior Intervention Support model, "The Hot Dog Way."
$5,200 to Purdue Extension of Clinton County will support two Cultural Awareness Workshops and the Intercultural Development Inventory in Clinton County.
$10,400 to Servants at Work (SAWs) supports building six ADA-compliant wooden wheelchair ramps for individuals in Clinton County.
$1,000 to Servants at Work (SAWS) supports building an ADA-compliant wooden wheelchair ramp.
