CLINTON COUNTY COMMUNITY FOUNDATION AWARDS GRANTS
Non-profit organizations awarded more than $304,750 during second half of 2014
December 17, 2014 — The Clinton County Community Foundation has awarded $304,750 in competitive grants during the second half of 2014. Combined with the first half total of $28,300 this brings the total of competitive grants awarded to $333,050 for the year.
“These grants are made from our community grants/unrestricted funds,” said John Shoup, chairman of the Clinton County Community Foundation Services Committee. “We are in a match period to build our endowment assets and increase our grantmaking capabilities. For every $1 given to our community grants/unrestricted funds, Lilly Endowment will match with a $1. When the challenge is successfully met, $1 million ($500,000 from donors and $500,000 matched) will be put to work in our community. What a great opportunity to double your giving and support the services and programs that are so important to our community.”
The following agencies and programs were awarded competitive grants:
$10,000 to the Clinton County Boys and Girls Club will be used as a partial match for the grant awarded from North Central Health Services to purchase a passenger bus.
$2,000 to the Clinton County Economic Advancement Foundation for the Healthy Communities of Clinton County supports the 'Infant Mortality Prenatal Care' program.
