Carl Anderson Scholarship Program
Leonte Wilson, son of Keebra Wilson and Leslie Johnson and grandson of Jearlene Wilson, is a 2009 graduate of Kokomo High School and will be a freshman at Ball State University studying education.
Kathie Beatty Memorial Scholarship Fund
Austin Pearson, son of Michael and Johnna Pearson, is a 2009 graduate and will be attending Purdue University in the fall to pursue a degree in applied meteorology.
Alex and Kitty Bell Scholarship
Kate Goodnight, daughter of Michael and Patricia Goodnight, is a four-time recipient, a 2006 Kokomo High School graduate and is attending Purdue University majoring in accounting.
Jenny Michelle Butler Scholarship Fund
Aaron Martinson, son of Perry and Julie Martinson, is a 2009 graduate of Northwestern High School and will attend Indiana University-Bloomington to study biology.
Community Foundation of Howard County Scholars
are the finalists in the competition for the Lilly Endowment Community Scholarships. The following are the awardees for 2009:
Kristin Antosik, daughter and stepdaughter of Vicki and Robert Smock and daughter of the late John Antosik, is a 2009 graduate of Western High School and will attend Purdue University to study nursing.
Margaret Booher, daughter of Kent and Meredith Booher is a 2009 graduate of Kokomo High School and will attend Purdue University to study chemistry.
Amanda DeVary, daughter of Edward and Pamela DeVary, is a 2009 graduate of Northwestern High School and will attend IUPUI to study art history and museum studies.
Ruby Sanchez, daughter of Modesto Sanchez and Maria de la luz Sanchez, is a 2009 graduate of Northwestern High school and will attend Southern Methodist University to study biology.
Lynsey Sharp, daughter of Jeffery and Pamela Sharp, is a 2009 graduate of Western High school and will attend Butler University to study history.

Geoff Stimler is the son of Bill and Laurel Stimler. Geoff is a 2009 graduate of Taylor High School and will study business management at Purdue University
Jesse W. Dunn Total Effort Award
Mitchell Gauger is the son of Gary and Lisa Gauger. Mitchell is a 2009 graduate of Kokomo High School and will study business at IUPUI.
Max M. Earl Memorial Scholarship
Erik Pattison, son of Bob and Kerri Pattison, is continuing his education at the Indiana University School of Medicine and will begin his third year in the fall.
Richard L. and Marion J. Eller Scholarship
Erik Miller, son of Rick and Barbara Miller, is a 2009 graduate of Northwestern High School and will be a freshman at Ivy Tech Community College studying agricultural business.
Shayne Riley, son of Troy and Michelle Riley, is a 2008 graduate of Northwestern High School and will be a sophomore at Purdue University studying mechanical engineering.
Tony Gabriel Student Athlete Scholarship
David Brinkley, son of James and Tammy Brinkley, is a 2009 graduate of Taylor High School and will attend Indiana University-Kokomo and study nursing.
Evan Schroeder, son of Michael and Penny Schroeder, is also a 2009 graduate. Evan will attend Indiana University where he will be studying finance/economics.
James Tyler Gotshall, son of Terry and Janet Gotshall, and Shawn Petty, son of Robert and Yvonne Petty. Both James and Shawn will be sophomores at Purdue University in the fall, where they will both be studying management.
C. V. Haworth Memorial Scholarship
Aaron Wray, son of Terry and Stacy Wray, is a 2009 graduate of Kokomo High School and will be attending Indiana University to study psychology/neuroscience.
Gerald Hood Memorial Scholarship
Kathryn Lowden, daughter of Mark and Jill Lowden, is a graduate of Northwestern High School who will attend Ball State University to pursue a degree in education.
Howard-Tipton County Central Labor Council Scholarship
This year's recipients are: Spencer Baker, son of Scott and Martha Baker, and Alexis Reed, daughter of Gary and Jayne Reed. Spencer is a 2009 graduate of Eastern High School and plans to attend Indiana University to study business management. Alexis is a 2009 graduate of Kokomo High School and will attend Indiana University-Kokomo to study biology.

Casey Connor, daughter of Beverly Conner, is a graduate of Kokomo High School and will attend Indiana University-Bloomington to pursue a degree in biology.

Chad Barrett, son of Mike and Kelly Barrett, is a graduate of Eastern High School and will be pursuing a degree at Wabash College.

Darian Davis, daughter of Ricque Roberts, is a graduate of Tri-Central High School and will attend Indiana University-Kokomo to pursue a degree in nursing.

Benjamin Daulton, son of Mary A. Daulton, is a graduate from Kokomo High School and will attend Indiana University.
Kokomo High School Class of 1964 Scholarship
Zachary Gibson, son of Mark and Sue Gibson, is a 2008 graduate of Kokomo High School and will be a sophomore at Indiana University studying exercise science.
David Wesche, son of Joe and Suzan Wesche, is a three-time recipient of the scholarship and a graduate of Kokomo High School. David attends Franklin College where he is studying business administration.

Min Young Shin, son of Dong Min Shin and Yong Sook Kim, is a graduate of Kokomo High School who will attend IUPUI to pursue a degree in international studies.
Mayor's Advisory Council Scholarships
have been awarded to the following students in 2009:
Caitlin Fitzgerald, daughter of Kelly Fitzgerald and a Kokomo High School graduate, plans to attend Ivy Tech Community College to study for work in the area of hospice care.
Mallory Huggins, daughter of Mike and Terri Huggins and a graduate of Eastern High School, plans to attend the International Business College-Indianapolis and study graphic design.
Erica Wenger, daughter of Greg and Jacquelyn Wenger, and a Western High School graduate, plans to attend Ivy Tech Community College to study nursing.

Kaitlyn Kimbrough, daughter of Scott and Rhonda Kimbrough, is a 2009 graduate of Tri-Central High School and will attend Anderson University to pursue a degree in social work.
Kristen Larrick, daughter of Greg and Cathy Larrick, is a graduate of Western High School and will attend University of Southern Indiana to study biology.

Ricky Benson, son of Charmine Seals and Fredrick Benson, is a Kokomo High School student studying cosmetology through the Kokomo Career Center.
Shelby Collins, daughter and step-daughter of Angela and Mark Miller and daughter of David Butts, is a Taylor High School student studying cosmetology through the Kokomo Career Center.
Donald B. Smith Scholarship Fund
Brittany Cain, daughter of Cheryl Cain and Timothy Cain, is a graduate of Eastern High School and plans to attend Ball State University to study dance and psychology.
Tylor Gauger, son of Gary and Lisa Gauger, is a graduate of Kokomo High School and plans to University of Notre Dame to pursue a degree in biology.

Hannah Akers, daughter of Barry and Paula Akers, is a graduate of Taylor High School and plans will attend Bethel College to study intercultural studies.
Stephen Truesdell, son of Robin Truesdell and Brent Truesdell, is a graduate of Western High School and plans to attend Purdue University to study biomedical engineering.

Kelsey Alexander, daughter of Bart and Susie Alexander, and Ryan McCauley, son of Mark and Ivy McCauley. Kelsey is a 2009 Eastern High School graduate and will pursue a degree in elementary education from Indiana University-Kokomo. Ryan is also a 2009 Eastern High School graduate and will pursue a degree leading to a career in wildlife/natural resources.

Amanda DeVary, daughter of Edward and Pamela DeVary, is a 2009 graduate of Northwestern High School and will attend IUPUI to study art history and museum studies.
Sadie A. Townsend Memorial Scholarship
Nia Bonnafon-Mosley, daughter and step-daughter of Michelle and Melvin McNeil, is a 2009 graduate and will attend Indiana University to study linguistics with a focus in international business.
Turnaround Scholarship Fund
Jennifer Slusher, foster daughter of Paul and Sue Hubbard, will be pursuing a degree in nursing at Indiana University-Kokomo.

Brooke Lewis, daughter of David and Lisa Lewis, is a 2008 graduate and will be a sophomore at Indiana University-Kokomo studying education.

Student Athlete Scholarship
Geoff Stimler is the son of Bill and Laurel Stimler. Geoff is a 2009 graduate of Taylor High School and will study business management at Purdue University.
Wiese Oldsmobile GMC Truck Scholarship
The first-time recipient of this award for 2008 is Austin Pearson, a 2009 Western High School graduate, is the son of Michael and Johnna Pearson. He will be studying applied meteorology at Purdue University.

Larry Price, son of Larry and Karen Price and a 2008 Western High School graduate, will be a sophomore at Purdue University studying engineering;
Katie Maddox, daughter of Elaine Maddox and Michael Maddox, is a 2007 Eastern High School graduate, and is a junior pursuing a degree in business management at Purdue University;
Kylie Hinkle, daughter of Kenneth and Rebecca Hinkle and 2006 graduate of Northwestern High School, will be a senior at Purdue University studying nursing.
R. Franklin Zehring Scholarship
Ashley Solomon, daughter and step-daughter of Jennifer and Allen Wiggington, is a graduate of Northwestern High School and will attend Purdue University to study animal science.

Marion Cherry, a 2007 Kokomo High School graduate and daughter of Ralph Cherry and Karen Altergott; is a junior at Indiana University studying psychology.
Tanika Weber, daughter of Anthony and Michaela Weber, is a 2006 Western High School graduate and will be a senior at Purdue University studying veterinary technology;
Michael Murphy, son of Daniel and Delina Murphy, is a 2004 graduate of Eastern High School and is attending Indiana University-Kokomo and he also serves in the military.
