2017 CARROLL COUNTY SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENTS ANNOUNCED

Carroll County Community Foundation awards more than $70,200 in scholarships for 2017-18 school year

June 20, 2017 -- The Carroll County Community Foundation has awarded 15 scholarships and renewals from 10 funds to Carroll County students with an approximate value of more than $70,200 including the Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship.

"Our donors reach out and connect with students through these scholarships," said Dr. Greg Norman, chairman of the Carroll County Community Foundation Services Committee. "Donors are looking to the future. They provide financial support that helps the recipients focus on their goals by easing the financial burden. The community is also strengthened through their caring. We thank our donors for this foresight, and encourage the recipients to continue the tradition of giving."

The students and the scholarships they were awarded are listed below:

Charles and Alberta Beale Scholarship
Cole Pearson is the son of Jason and Michelle Pearson.  He is a Delphi Community High School graduate and plans to attend Purdue University and study agriculture.

John and Kathie Connelly Scholarship
Kaitlyn Brown, daughter of Amy Brown and Jason Brown, is a Delphi Community High School graduate.  She will attend the University of Indianapolis to study exercise science.

Fisher and Associates Accounting Scholarship
Jason Wright is the son of Jason Wright. He is a Carroll High School graduate and will study business at Purdue University.

Liberty German Scholarship
Sierra Snyder, daughter of William and Amber Snyder, is a Delphi Community High School graduate.  She will study neurobiology and physiology at Purdue University.

Carolyn S. Gilbert Scholarship
Molly McGill, daughter of Brian and Teresa McGill, is a Carroll High School graduate.  She will attend Ball State University to study pre-physical therapy.

Indiana Packers Scholarship
Evan Lehr is the son of Darin and Tana Lehr. He is a Delphi Community High School student and plans to attend Purdue University to study agriculture. 

Emily Wagoner is the daughter of Scott and Michelle Wagoner.  She is a Carroll High School graduate and will attend Purdue University to study animal science.

Irving E. Manning Scholarship
Jason Wright is the son of Jason Wright and is a Carroll High School graduate. He will study business at Purdue University.

Receiving renewal scholarships are Baylee Benn, Austin Denny and Justin Willoughby.

Robert & Joan Maxwell Scholarship
Emilee Gear, daughter of Jennifer Roth and Scott Gear, is a Delphi Community High School graduate.  She will attend Indiana University and study broadcasting.

John McCormick Agricultural Scholarship
Haley Johnson, daughter of Molly Johnson and Herbert Johnson, is a Delphi Community High School graduate.  She will study animal science at Purdue University.

Mid-North Indiana Executive Committee for Christ Scholarship
Emma McCarty is the daughter of Bryan and Tone McCarty and is a Clinton Central High School student. She plans to study chemistry at Trine University.

Kyleigh Redmon is the daughter of Joel and Michelle Redmon and is a Carroll High School graduate.  She will attend Bethel College to study social work.

Cassidy Young is the daughter of Julie Young and is a Pioneer High School graduate.  She will attend Indiana State University to study nursing.

Lewis and Hazel Mullin Scholarship
Tanner Pearson, son of Jason and Michelle Pearson, is a Delphi Community High School graduate. He will study exercise science at Ball State University.

Bill Pearson Scholarship
Evan Lehr, son of Darin and Tana Lehr, is a Delphi Community High School graduate. He will attend Purdue University and study agriculture.

Robert Thornburg Scholarship
Thomas Piotrowski, son of Myles and Mary Jo Piotrowski, is a Carroll High School graduate. He will attend Anderson University to study music business.

Carroll County Community Foundation Scholars
Haley Bush, daughter of Jay and Debora Bush, is a graduate of Carroll High School. She will attend Purdue University.

Rebekah Conn, daughter of John and Jana Conn, is a graduate of Carroll High School.  She plans to attend Butler University and study marketing.

Bailey Gasser, daughter of John and Cassandra Gasser, is a Delphi Community High School graduate.  She will attend DePauw University to study kinesiology.

Sophia Gunther, daughter of James Gunther and the late Julianne Brown, is a Delphi Community High School graduate. She will study computer science at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis.

Lilly Endowment Community Scholar
Kain Myer, son of Steven and Connie Myer, is a Delphi Community High School graduate. He plans to attend Indiana University to study biology.
