LILLY ENDOWMENT COMMUNITY SCHOLARSHIP DEADLINE CHANGES
2017 application due Aug. 29, 2016
The Carroll County Community Foundation is adjusting the timeline for selecting the Lilly Endowment Community Scholar. The online application will be available to 2017 graduates Aug. 1, 2016. Completed applications will be due to the Community Foundation on Aug. 29, 2016.
The advanced timeline is a result of a 2015 statewide program evaluation by Lilly Endowment that indicated the earlier timing would benefit students. "We encourage upcoming 2017 graduates to make note of this accelerated timeline," said Kim Abney, vice president of Programs. "This is a great opportunity for students to apply for a full tuition scholarship."
Lilly Endowment has offered the program since 1998 and 34 Lilly Endowment Community Scholarships have been awarded in Carroll County.
Deadlines for other scholarships administered through the Carroll County Community Foundation remain unchanged. Those applications will be available in early November and due March 3, 2017. All applications are available at www.cfcarroll.org.
The Carroll County Community Foundation was established in 1997 as a not-for-profit charitable organization governed by a volunteer board of local citizens.
