2016 CARROLL COUNTY SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENTS ANNOUNCED

Carroll County Community Foundation awards more than $77,400 in scholarships for 2016-17 school year

June 9, 2016 -- The Carroll County Community Foundation has awarded 23 scholarships and renewals from 14 funds to Carroll County students with an approximate value of more than $77,400 including the Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship.

“Our donors have made a commitment to improving the quality of life for these students through their contributions,” said Dr. Paul Manning, chairman of the Carroll County Community Foundation Services Committee. “This support strengthens the community as educational attainment is increased.  We are fortunate to have so many caring donors who look to the future.”

The students and the scholarships they were awarded are listed below:

Burlington Kiwanis Club Endowment Fund

Toni Tull-Nunn is the daughter of Jeff and Gina Tull-Nunn and a graduate of Carroll High School. Toni will study music at Ball State University.

Jarrett Gish, son of Jimmy and Jenelle Gish, is a Carroll High School graduate.  He will study finance at Ball State University.

John and Kathie Connelly Scholarship

Wyatt Lucas is the son of Rodney and Lee Lucas and a Delphi Community High School graduate.  He will study engineering at Purdue University.

Carolyn S. Gilbert Scholarship

Lia Dees is the daughter of Lori and Jeremy Ellis and a Carroll High School graduate. She will attend Butler University to study education.

Indiana Packers Scholarship

Adriana Hernandez is the daughter of Melissa Hernandez. She is a Carroll High School graduate and plans to attend Iowa State University to study agriculture.

Irving E. Manning Scholarship

Austin Denny, son of Greg and Susan Denny, is a Carroll High School graduate.  He plans to attend Purdue University to study business management.

Receiving renewal scholarships are Baylee Benn, Kylie Wagoner and Justin Willoughby.

Robert & Joan Maxwell Scholarship

Kayleigh Gibson, daughter of Amiee Gibson and Chad Gibson, is a Delphi Community High School graduate. She will study nursing at Purdue University.

John McCormick Agricultural Scholarship

Jacob Rider, son of Paul Rider and Janie Rider, is a Delphi Community High School graduate.  He plans to attend Purdue University and study agribusiness management.

Mid-North Indiana Executive Committee for Christ Scholarship

Megan Hadinger is the daughter of Todd and Julia Hadinger and is a Rossville High School graduate. She will study social work at Purdue University.

Jocelynne Moss is the daughter of Jeff and Jennifer Moss and is a Logansport High School graduate. She plans to study nursing at Bethel College.

Megan Reeder is the daughter of Paul Reeder and Robin Wiles and is a Carroll High School graduate. She will study psychology at Indiana University.

Lewis and Hazel Mullin Scholarship

Miranda Edwards, daughter of Jed and Michelle Morehouse, is a Delphi Community High School graduate. She plans to attend Indiana State University to study clinical psychology.

Bill Pearson Scholarship

Adriana Hernandez is the daughter of Melissa Hernandez. She is a Carroll High School graduate and plans to attend Iowa State University to study agriculture.

Robeson/Barber Scholarship Fund for Teachers

Lia Dees is the daughter of Lori and Jeremy Ellis and a Carroll High School graduate. She will attend Butler University to study education.

Dorothy Stark Scholarship

Miranda Clingenpeel, daughter of Bryan and Jennifer Clingenpeel, is a Delphi Community High School graduate. She plans to attend Purdue University.

Robert Thornburg Scholarship

Lia Dees, daughter of Lori and Jeremy Ellis, is a Carroll High School graduate. She was a member of the Cougar Blues Show Choir.

Carroll County Community Foundation Scholars

Lia Dees, daughter of Lori and Jeremy Ellis, is a graduate of Carroll High School. She will attend Butler University to study education.

Libby Eller, daughter of Richard and Erika Eller, is a Carroll High School graduate. She plans to attend Indiana Wesleyan University to study exercise science.

Ashley Fauble, daughter of Paul and Karina Fauble, is a Logansport High School graduate. She will attend Purdue University to study pharmacy.

Lilly Endowment Community Scholar

Alexa Metzger, daughter of Chris and Roxanna Metzger, is a Carroll High School graduate. She will study nursing at Purdue University.
