Triple Your Impact

The Community Foundation Serving Howard, Clinton and Carroll Counties has been invited to participate in Phase VIII of the Giving Indiana Funds for Tomorrow community foundation initiative (GIFT VIII). Through GIFT VIII, Lilly Endowment, Inc. will provide $2 for every $1 donated to any unrestricted community endowment fund. By donating to an unrestricted community endowment fund now through December 31, 2025, you can triple your impact on nonprofit projects and programs that benefit our communities.

Howard

$750,000 in donations to community endowment funds needed for match, total of $1.5 million toward Howard County community endowment funds.

Clinton

$375,000 in donations to community endowment funds needed for match, total of $750,000 toward Clinton County community endowment funds.

Carroll

$375,000 in donations to community endowment funds needed for match, total of $750,000 toward Carroll County community endowment funds.

GIFT Match is available through December 31, 2025 or until donation goal is met.

Establish Your Own Community Endowment Fund During the Match

Lilly Endowment is matching all contributions to unrestricted community endowment funds through 2025, which includes contributions made to start a new unrestricted fund! Typically, a $12,500 starting contribution is required to establish an unrestricted community endowment fund at the Community Foundation. But during the Lilly Endowment GIFT VIII matching period, you can establish your fund for just one-third of the usual requirement, with Lilly Endowment matching the remaining two-thirds to fully endow your fund. Initial Gift

John and Betty Smith decide to establish a community endowment fund during the GIFT Match. Their starting contribution is $4,200.

Match

Lilly Endowment, Inc. matches the remaining two-thirds required to establish a community endowment fund. They provide $8,400.

Fully Funded

The John & Betty Smith Community Fund is established at a fully endowed $12,600.
