2013 CLINTON COUNTY SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENTS ANNOUNCED
Clinton County Community Foundation awards more than $270,000 in scholarships for 2013-14 school year
June 11, 2013 -- The Clinton County Community Foundation has awarded 74 scholarships and renewals from 18 funds to Clinton County students with an approximate value of $270,000, including the Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship. The students were recognized at a Scholarship Reception held on June 5 at Arborwood by Shoup’s in Frankfort, Ind. Parents, donors, educators, community volunteers and leaders also attended the event in recognition of the efforts of the students.
"Our donors create scholarships through the Foundation because they have a passion to help students pursue the career of their choice at the school of their choice," said John Shoup, chairman of the Clinton County Community Foundation Services Committee. "Donors also want students to know that their community is supporting them. We hope this encouragement builds confidence as they pursue their goals."
The students and the scholarships they were awarded are listed below:
A. J. Archibald Memorial Scholarship
Cayden Parkhurst, son of Donal and Robin Parkhurst, is a Clinton Central High School graduate. He plans to attend Ball State University and study biology.
Robert L. Brinson Scholarship
Lindsay Davis, daughter of Jesse and Lori Davis, is a Clinton Central High School graduate. She plans to study nursing.
Jenny Butler Scholarship
Lindsay Davis, daughter of Jesse and Lori Davis, is a Clinton Central High School graduate. She plans to study nursing.
Clinton Central High School Vision Scholarship
Tyler Eads,son of Richard and Dawn Eads, will attend Ball State University to study criminal justice.
Courtney Fox, daughter of Tammy Dunham and Scott Fox, will attend Purdue University to study pharmacy.
Rhett Quick, son of Randy and Lori Quick, will study pre-environmental studies at Purdue University.
Emily Wyrick, daughter of Tim and Beth Wyrick, will attend Purdue University to study agribusiness management.
Clarence Cochran Agricultural Scholarship
Hunter Ridenour, son of Bryan and Michelle Ridenour, is a graduate of Clinton Central High School. He plans to attend Purdue University to study agricultural management.
Anna Fudge Field and Mary S. Field Endowment Scholarship
Kaylin Gandy, daughter of Melody Gandy and Paul Gandy, is a graduate of Frankfort High School. She will attend Indiana Wesleyan University to study pre-art therapy.
Louise and Robert A. Hedgcock History Essay Scholarship
Miranda Castle, daughter of Becky Bailey and Lawrence Castle, is a graduate of Frankfort High School and will attend DePauw University to study biology.
Kaylin Gandy, daughter of Melody Gandy and Paul Gandy, is a graduate of Frankfort High School and will attend Indiana Wesleyan University to study pre-art therapy.
Jordan Ham, son of Monica Ham and Rick Ham, is a graduate of Frankfort High School and will study exercise science at Manchester University.
Vern and Lillian Kaspar Scholarship
Stephen Good, son of Charles and Peggy Good, is a graduate of Clinton Prairie High School. He will be attending Purdue University to study engineering.
Michigantown High School Alumni Association Scholarship
Hollis (Holli) Kercheval, daughter of Kevin and Melea Kercheval, is a Clinton Central High School graduate. She plans to attend Purdue University to study agriculture sales and marketing.
William and Doris Mohr Scholarship
This is a four-year renewable scholarship.
Clinton Central High School
Courtney Fox, daughter of Tammy Dunham and Scott Fox, will attend Purdue University to study pharmacy.
Matthew Rogers, son of Stewart and Kimberly Rogers, will attend Indiana University to study biology.
Receiving renewal scholarships are: Lindsay Davis, Tanner Deisch, Kayla Mosson, Tyler Ottinger, Rachel Robertson and Kendra Stockberger.
Clinton Prairie High School
Stephanie Schrock, daughter of Kent and Patricia Schrock, will attend Indiana University to study linguistics and Spanish.
James Woods, son of Paul and Lisa Woods, will attend Purdue University to study chemistry.
Receiving renewal scholarships are: Hannah Coons, Sara Huskins, Brianne Little and Adam Schrock.
Frankfort High School
William Fischer, son of Jill Fischer and Ronald Fischer, will attend Indiana University Purdue University-Indianapolis to study radiation therapy.
Ivan Pozos, son Maurilia Cruz, will attend Ivy Tech to become a mechanic.
Anthony Redington Noble, son of Gary Noble and Kim Redington, will attend Indiana University Purdue University-Indianapolis to study paramedic science.
Receiving renewal scholarships are: Kara Byrd, Hadley Catron, Madison Donoho, Meredith Gant, Michael Harris, Brittany Harmon, Haley Jaworski, Hannah Pierce, Branon Renick, Kyleigh Renick, Andrew Sharp and Chadwick Strong.
Rossville High School
Michaela Heffernan, daughter of Dwight and Melissa Heffernan, will attend Valparaiso University to study criminal justice.
Bethany McIlrath, daughter of Kent and Cheryl McIlrath, will attend Purdue University to study chemical engineering.
Receiving renewal scholarships are: Daniel Gascho, Robert Hawkins, Brittany Heffernan, Chelsea Sandifur, Kaitlyn Tappenden and Tylyn Tull.
Psi Iota Xi Scholarship — Beta Tau Chapter
Hannah Cripe, daughter of Mark and Ann Cripe, is attending Purdue University.
Wilbur T. Rule Team Player Scholarship
Colton Evans, son of Beth and George Evans, is a Clinton Central High School graduate. He will be attending Indiana University Kokomo.
Greg A. Scofield Scholarship
Hunter Ridenour, son of Bryan and Michelle Ridenour, is a graduate of Clinton Central High School. He plans to attend Purdue University to study agricultural management.
Barbara K. Siegfried Scholarship
Emily Wyrick, daughter of Tim and Beth Wyrick, will attend Purdue University to study agribusiness management.
Phyllis M. Widener Music Scholarship
Logan Harness, son of Frank and Bonnie Harness, is a Clinton Prairie High School graduate. He plans to attend Anderson University to study music education.
Receiving renewals from the fund are Abigail Barnett, Chloe McLaughlin and Andrew Rohrabaugh.

Lilly Endowment Community Scholarship
Karoline Stitsworth, daughter of Alan and Debbie Stitsworth, is a Frankfort High School graduate. Karoline plans to attend Indiana University to study mathematics education.
