COMMUNITY FOUNDATION OF HOWARD COUNTY RECEIVES CONTRIBUTION FROM OLIVE GARDEN

To support the local community, Olive Garden makes $1,000 contribution

May 17, 2010 — Through a corporate giving program, Olive Garden recently presented the Community Foundation of Howard County with a $1,000 check. The funding was made available from a special corporate donation fund that was collected and distributed to restaurants throughout the nation.

"It was up to the general manager of each restaurant to select the organization that would receive the contribution," said Adam Hunt, general manager of the Olive Garden in Kokomo. "When I was researching the various organizations in Kokomo and Howard County, I discovered how many hands a foundation would touch. They help out a lot of different organizations. This was the most logical way to have a broader distribution within the community we serve."

The Community Foundation of Howard County works with the local not-for-profit agencies to help improve the quality of life in the community. The check was presented by Olive Garden employees to Dana Davis, vice chair of the Board of Directors for the Community Foundation of Howard County.

"We are pleased and honored that the Community Foundation was selected to be the recipient of this contribution from Olive Garden," said Davis. "We will make sure the money is used to its fullest potential. Thank you for supporting the foundation and our community."
